Breffni Vintage Club Memorial Run 2010

On Sunday 30/05/2010 Breffni Vintage Club held their 10th annual run in memory of deceased members of the club. The run began and finished at the ideal grounds of the Slieve Russell Hotel in Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan. The event saw almost 150 cars traverse 40 miles of roads in west Cavan and south Fermanagh. The run began at the Slieve Russell and departed for the first 20 mile leg which would bring the cars through Ballyconnell, Teemore, Lisnaskea, Carry Bridge and Derrylin to Knockninny Country House & Marina.

Refreshments were served by the staff of Knockninny Country House & Marina and everyone had a chance to relax and enjoy the fabulous grounds and marina. The Mountain Road Pipe Band performed a brilliant music recital and shortly afterwards the cars departed to complete the second and final leg of the journey back to Ballyconnell.

I’d also like to thank the sponsors of the event without whom it could not have taken place; Hammond Good Solicitors, James & Patrick Mc Govern Builders Bawnboy, GT Electric and Lock Up Alarms Manorhamilton. Also a huge thank you to all the marshals and GardaĆ who made the event run as smooth as possible.

As usual you can see lots more photos from the event here.
